About

After its beginnings in Australia, CWCI was established in New Zealand in 1968.
A non-denominational and now an international organisation it has touched the lives of thousands of women throughout the world with a variety of activities.

The importance of studying God's Word is at the heart of CWCI, and Know Your Bible (KYB) studies are currently being used and/or translated in 69 countries around the World.

KYB groups meet from Kaitaia to Invercargill, and along with CWCI Retreats, Tours and Events, women throughout New Zealand are being encouraged in their Christian lives.
If you would like to know what is happening in your area, know more about Know Your Bible Studies or have any further questions please feel free to contact us.

Mission Statement...

Encouraging women to:

  • develop a personal faith in Jesus Christ as Saviour
  • grow in the Christian faith through the teaching of the Word of God
  • cope with life in all its complexities
  • play a more effective role in their churches and their service for the Lord

“…not only Women of the Word but Women of Prayer.”

What a busy and exciting year it has been for the work of CWCI.
More and more I am convinced that our strength lies in our prayer base and that the battle is won on our knees. Women are still "buzzing" from Debbi's visit.
She not only encouraged us to be women of the Word but to be women of prayer.
Since her tour more names have been added to the Prayer and Praise letter and it is great to see this part of our ministry growing.
I truly feel that writing this Prayer and Praise Letter has blessed me the most.
I have grown in my own prayer life and have become more convicted of our need to pray and seek God's will as we move forward. It is such a privilege to pray together as sisters in Christ and I know that many women have really felt the strength of our prayers as they have faced trials and testings.
